About this Role:

As a Cybersecurity Consultant at Consortium Networks, you will have end-to-end responsibility for individual client projects and develop specialized knowledge to help solve our clients' cybersecurity issues. You will work on various cybersecurity and digital risk topics, applying your consulting skills to support our customers in solving strategic cybersecurity challenges.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cybersecurity assessments, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing and prioritizing recommendations to support client program maturity and roadmap development.
  • Interview client stakeholders to understand client security program controls, including technologies, processes, and policies, and document those controls in our proprietary risk management solution.
  • Analyze alignment to cybersecurity framework (e.g., NIST CSF 2.0), regulatory requirements, and best practices to provide tailored recommendations to client security leadership.
  • Develop and present cybersecurity risk reports tailored for client management.
  • Collaborate with Consortium Networks Sales team members to identify and recommend best-fit solutions to address client needs and concerns.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to clients in a clear, business-centric manner.
  • Lead cybersecurity transformation and culture change initiatives within client organizations.
  • Support a wide variety of service offerings within the Risk Rationalization team within Consortium Networks, including, but not limited to, Cybersecurity Assessment, Cyber Tools Rationalization, Cyber Risk Quantification, and more.

Position Qualifications

Competencies & Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, understanding the role of technology in business strategy and the cybersecurity implications.
  • Conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Leading security assessments and developing security architectures.
  • Integrating security into applications and systems, including on-prem, OT, and cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience implementing or administering cybersecurity technology
  • Designing and implementing identity and access management solutions.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet the client as needed.

Required Education and Experience:

  • 2+ years of practical experience in cybersecurity consulting or cybersecurity management.
  • BS in cybersecurity, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with developing cybersecurity strategies, policies, and risk management.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO/IEC 27000, CRI, and others.
