About This Role:

The Sr. Staff Accountant will join an expanding team of dedicated information security professionals in continuing to build our trusted Cyber Concierge delivery in this Private Equity backed company. This position will initially lead the insourcing of critical accounting functions, development of appropriate accounting controls while performing the essential coordination of tasks across internal and external resources. Ultimately managing a small internal team, this position will quickly assume responsibility for all accounting production and ensure the integrity of financial systems. The successful candidate will have a steady attitude and excellent communication skills capable of delivering a true concierge experience to our stakeholders. 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and perform the day-to-day accounting and financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, commission and payroll processing, accounts payable and receivable, and reconciliations
  • Responsible for the monthly accounting close process, cross functional schedule coordination, and communication across departments
  • Hire, train, and supervise supporting staff
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet subsidiary schedules by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies across prepaid expenses, fixed assets, amortization, deferred revenue, accrued costs as well as other assets and liability accounts
  • Continuously monitors sale transaction types for proper revenue recognition and expense matching to properly record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing detailed and related account information
  • Performs other key accounting analysis and procedures to support the Company’s financial reporting function
  • Continuously evaluates and manages accounting control environment and assists with the development of effective internal procedures to improve the underlying financial and operating control environment
  • Drive process improvements and system enhancements to optimize accounting operations and reporting accuracy
  • Participate in technical accounting research and drive automation in accounting tasks, including supporting new ERP system implementation
  • Assists Director of FP&A in developing and capturing key metrics and analysis
  • Assist with annual accounting audit, tax filings and regulatory compliance filings as required
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of industry-specific accounting standards and their application to the company’s control and reporting environment


Position Qualifications

Competencies & Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and manage the daily, weekly and monthly processes to support the timely and accurate production of financial statements
  • Ability to develop the people, accounting practices, policies, and tools necessary to complete the breadth and depth of accounting function needed in a rapidly growing technology solutions company
  • Exceptional understanding of GAAP and financial accounting standards
  • Extraordinary passion for excellence and teamwork 
  • Expert level spreadsheet and office suite skills

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from an accredited University
  • 3-5 years Public Audit with two years of Private Accounting experience preferred
  • NetSuite or SAP, and QBO experience required; Google Workspace, MSFT Excel, Asana and Confluence preferred
  • CPA or CMA designation preferred

Pay Transparency

Consortium Networks is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role for individuals who reside and work in certain states and locales. The compensation range considers a wide range of factors which are considered in making compensation decisions including skills, experience, education, and location. A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role is $85,000-100,000.
